Boaters Insurance Do Mountain Climbers Who Need Rescue Pay For Any Of The Cost?

Do mountain climbers who need rescue pay for any of the cost? - boaters insurance

I confess that I am climbing. Although I have the courage, desire and motivation to admire the climber, I've never understood the "risk-reward" part.

The real issue is the fact that people grow up in the mountains in the middle of winter and may need rescuing. Of course, save to other people who regularly suffered damage buy (campers, boaters, etc.) But when people, the mountains in winter to provide insurance against the costs of rescue or a license, they want to climb, including insurance?

The type of rescue, he talks about the guy who made the news. The mountain rescue teams to save more people from lower and higher levels to make more rescues in the summer than in winter (I know, I rescue people from the mountain for 15 years).

Whether you pay anything - it depends. In most countries and states, there is no cost, in others there is a charge if needed again, and in some areas of compulsory insurance before departure.

The mountain rescue teams of volunteers will be UNPI, equipment and operating costs are covered by donations. If military, police, parks, the authority, the National Guard and other staff then there is a cost to the taxpayer. But ... These people are still in use and costs the taxpayers money, they were called. The main part of the cost to the taxpayer the cost of consumables such as fuel and depreciation and maintenance.

Furthermore, if civilian personnel is not involved in the rescue, should actuallyTrain through the training exercises that are more expensive and less effective in the training of personnel.

There are few rescue operations, which entails a large amount of resources and money, but most are made without cost to the public or the public interest.

A few years ago (1995 I think) I saw this in detail in terms of climbing in Scotland. It was a very bad season, which killed something like 54 people. All organizations involved in search and rescue agreement, which is to their advantage, and if all factors were taken into account that it achieves a savings of several million pounds.

One problem with the introduction of some form of compulsory insurance fee or the cost of their implementation and management. Then there is the problem of definition - what is a mountain winter, when something is not dangerous. Is it dangerous on a mountain in a desert or down to a cave. ShoLadies ULD and the elderly should pay more? The list is long.

If no fee is charged, and those who have to pay the fee legal rights and entitlements. The ambulance service is voluntary, but mandatory, and must meet if they want it or not. Not only that, but it would be necessary under the law to a certain level.

In addition, if the fees for climbers do the same with people who go to the caves, canyoning (abseiling), bungee jumping, sailing, kayaking - the list goes on and time again.
